Augustana Hockey Games to be Broadcast on Midco Sports

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University and Midco Sports have announced a multi-year agreement to broadcast Augustana hockey home games beginning with the inaugural season. Eleven of the Vikings’ 15 home contests will be produced and carried on Midco Sports or Midco Sports Two. The agreement begins with the home opening weekend Saturday and Sunday against Bowling Green in the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

"We’re so excited this day is finally here! Midco is proud to support Augustana University and this historic launch of hockey at the Division I level in South Dakota,” said Mark Powell, Midco’s VP of Business Development – Sports. “We look forward to the puck dropping on Midco Sports and growing our broadcasts with Coach Raboin, the team and Augie’s athletic department.”

Play-by-play for Augustana hockey will be handled by David Brown while analysis will come from a rotation of Pat Micheletti and Julie Friend.

“From day one, Midco & Midco Sports have recognized the excitement in our region for Augustana hockey,” said Josh Morton, Augustana’s Vice President for Athletics. “We are thrilled with our long-standing partnership and we know this will elevate both Augustana University and Midco together.”

Augustana and Midco have a deep relationship, including the naming rights to the on-campus home arena for Viking hockey, Midco Arena, set to open in late January. In addition, Midco Sports has produced a five-part series as part of MidcoMAG following the startup of the program. All five episodes can be viewed by clicking here.

Along with finding Augustana hockey games on Midco Sports, Viking hockey fans can find Midco Sports produced games on CCHA TV as part of the FloHockey subscription service for home games. When the Vikings are playing a CCHA opponent on the road, CCHA TV will carry those contests. Nonconference games will have various platforms with links always available at GoAugie.com/Live.

Fans can stream all CCHA games live and on-demand, on their home televisions, computers, tablets, and mobile devices. The FloSports App can be accessed on all screens and streaming devices by downloading the FloSports app on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, the App Store and Google Play Store.
