If the playoffs started now

SOUTH DAKOTA

11AA

Byes:

1) Sioux Falls Washington (8-0)

2) Brandon Valley (8-0)

3) Sioux Falls Roosevelt (7-1)

4) Yankton (6-2)

12) Douglas (4-4) at 5) Sioux Falls Lincoln (6-2)

9) Rapid City Central (3-5) at 8) Brookings (3-5)

11) Aberdeen Central (2-6) at 6) Sioux Falls O’Gorman (5-3)

10) Watertown (2-6) at 7) Pierre (5-3)

Should Yankton lose to Brandon Valley this week, that opens the door for the Lincoln vs. O’Gorman winner to grab the fourth bye in the first round. A Douglas win is likely sayonara for Huron’s playoff chances (they play Mitchell), but a Huron victory is a good omen to their entry in the playoff field

11A

West Central (5-3) at Dell Rapids (6-1)

Madison (4-3) at Milbank (4-3)

Lennox (1-6) at Tea (5-2)

Dakota Valley (5-2) at Harrisburg (6-2)

Little Wound (3-4) at Todd County (7-1)

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (4-3) at Chamberlain (4-3)

Pine Ridge (3-4) at Spearfish (5-3)

Belle Fourche (3-4) at Hot Springs (6-2)

This is likely the field for 11A, though Sisseton can possibly get in with a win in Redfield and a loss by Lennox in Canton on Thursday.

11B

Mobridge-Pollock (4-4) at Aberdeen Roncalli (8-0)

Webster (5-2) at Deuel (5-2)

Canton (3-4) at Tri-Valley (6-1)

Garretson (4-3) at Flandreau (7-0)

Bon Homme (3-4) at Winner (8-0)

Parkston (5-2) at Wagner (5-2)

Bennett County (3-4) at St. Thomas More (5-2)

Groton (3-4) at Custer (4-3)

Groton is in position for the RTFH (Road Trip From Hell), though Hill City is close to regaining their region 4 playoff spot. McCook Central/Montrose, whose regular season is done, is likely out of playoff contention at this point.

9AA

Tri-State (3-4) at Clark/Willow Lake (6-1)

Miller (3-4) at Leola/Frederick (6-1)

Great Plains Lutheran (3-4) at Deubrook (7-0)

Howard (5-2) at Elkton-Lake Benton (5-2)

Parker (5-2) at Kimball/White Lake (8-0)

Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan (5-2) at Gregory (6-1)

Andes Central (4-3) at White River (7-0)

Lemmon/McIntosh (5-3) at Potter County (6-1)

The Great Plains Lutheran at Tri-State game on Thursday is VERY key. The winner is in the playoffs, the loser could easily drop off the playoff cliff.

Newell is closest to being in this field and a win likely puts them in over the GPL/Tri-State loser.

9A

Wilmot (5-2) at Herreid/Selby (7-0)

Eureka/Bowdle (5-2) at Warner (7-0)

Mt. Vernon (3-4) at Hamlin (7-0)

Arlington (7-0) at Canistota (7-0)

South Central (3-4) at Corsica/Stickney (5-2)

Wolsey-Wessington (6-1) at Irene-Wakonda (6-1)

Hanson (4-4) at Faith (7-0)

Wall (4-3) at New Underwood (5-2)

Hanson, whose regular season is over, is hanging by a thread right now. A win from any of Kadoka, Chester, or Timber Lake could put the Beavers on the wrong side of the playoffs this year. There’s a possibility that there could be three undefeated teams playing in region two here.

9B

Dell Rapids St. Mary (3-4) at Waverly-South Shore (5-2)

Lake Preston (4-3) at Castlewood (4-3)

Plankinton (3-4) at Viborg-Hurley (5-2)

Centerville (4-3) at Avon (5-3)

Marion (4-4) at Hitchcock-Tulare (5-2)

Langford (2-5) at Faulkton (4-3)

Bison (3-4) at Harding County (7-0)

Jones County (3-4) at Colome (6-1)

The bottom of this class is ever in flux, with several teams on the bubble. Closest are Estelline and Rapid City Christian.

NORTH DAKOTA

Fargo Davies (3-5) at Bismarck (8-0)

Minot (6-2) at Grand Forks Red River (7-1)

Dickinson (3-5) at Fargo South (7-1)

West Fargo (5-3) at Bismarck Century (6-2)

AA

Valley City (5-2) at Minot Ryan (7-1)

Rugby (5-3) at Fargo Shanley (6-2)

Dickinson Trinity (5-3) at Grafton (7-1)

Wahpeton (6-2) at Beulah (7-1)
